POSITION SUMMARY Transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware in order to provide kitchen and restaurant staff with the appropriate equipment for guests' dining experience. Also requires cleaning of physical surroundings.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Promptly and carefully sort soiled silverware so that it can be put through the dish machine properly. Quickly wash all ware and replace in appropriate storage areas. Physical strength and stamina are essential to this position due to the high activity level. Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per property standards. This includes disassembling the dish machine to ensure proper cleaning. Pre-scrape and pre-rinse items prior to running them through the dish machine. Keep dish area organized (i.e. sorting dishes/silverware to keep a functional dish area) Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pan promptly and completely so cooks can carry out their work. Must sweep, mop and take out trash during and after shift. Sort glasses and stack in appropriate areas.SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions. Performs general cleaning tasks using standard property cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards. Walks and stands during the entire shift Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents. Performs other duties as requested, such as, cross-training, moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up spills, etc. Cleans and roll/unroll mats. Report any suspicious persons or activity to a supervisor immediately.SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain same in order to compliment guest experience. Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 500 pounds. Ability to read and understand the English language so as to fully comprehend job requests, caution notices and similar written materials. Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 150 pounds. Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.GROOMING All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available). FLSA Designation nonexemptOTHER Upon employment all associates are required to comply with the standards, rules and regulations which may be established by the Company and updated from time to time. Associates who violate property rules or have irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The Hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime to reflect the business needs of the property. Associates may also be required to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times
