Heavy Equipment Operator

DescriptionBroadwind Towers & Heavy Fabrications is growing! We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator Level I.This role is responsible for the movement of materials between functions, departments and locations within the Broadwind "campus". Level I Team Members must be certified and qualified in the use of certain equipment (Forklift, Telehandler, Manlift, and Skid Steer) and movement of materials both in the building and in the yard.Review work assignments to plan and coordinate. Prioritize workload so production needs are met.Move materials in and around the yard, buildings or remote locations.Stack all materials neatly and in the correct location for all areas of facilityPick up debris, garbage and scrap materials throughout facility when applicableManage accurate record-keeping related to movement of materialsPerform daily maintenance and inspection of required equipment referencing the daily personal maintenance sheetPerform start up inspection at the beginning of each shiftVisually inspect, check and fill fluids, and check functionsReports any equipment malfunctions or safety concernsClean equipment used as needed for shift hand- offIdentify damaged and non-compliant materialsLooks for ways to improve processes and apply Lean thinkingAdhere to safety requirements and standardsCross-train and support other material handling roles to which an individual is qualifiedModels BWEN Core ValuesRequirementsLevel I Team Members must be certified and qualified in the use of certain equipment (Forklift, Telehandler, Manlift, and Skid Steer)
