Job Title: Dishwasher Job Status: Part Time - Non-ExemptDepartment: Chevy Chase Country ClubPrimary Work Location: Chevy Chase Country ClubReports To: Executive Chef /Sous ChefSupervisory Responsibility: NonePosition Summary Serves as dishwasher for Chase Country Club banquet/catering. Responsibilities include washing and properly storing all cooking utensils, china, flatware and glassware at CCCC kitchens. Ensures that all programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Wheeling Park District and Chevy Chase Country Club.Essential Job Duties Wash all dishes, silverware, utensils, glassware, etc. in the dishwashing machine or by hand. Polish all silverware, platters and chafing dishes as necessary. Collect trash from kitchen areas; empty garbage barrels; wash and reline same with new bags. Examine garbage for mistakenly dropped silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. Wash or clean receiving area and trash areas. Sweep and mop dish area. Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas. Clean dishwashing machine after each meal period. Other assigned duties as specified by supervisor, to include assisting in food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning coolers/freezers/storerooms. Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.Position Requirements Minimum 6 months working experience or aptitude to train. Knowledge of proper methods of washing and stacking dishes, including proper sanitation procedures, highly desirable. Ability to exercise good judgment and confidentiality. Skills and Abilities Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival. CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days.Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities are required and include close vision and ability to adjust focus. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Working Conditions Most activities will be performed indoors. Driving to other park facilities will require the worker to be outside. Employee may be exposed to cleaning agents and toner chemicals.
