Deadline to Apply: March 20, 2026ACLU of Georgia welcomes interns each spring, summer, and fall across legal, policy, communications, community engagement, and voter access teams. We accept students at all levels, including high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate.We are currently accepting applications for the Summer 2026 term, running approximately May 27 through August 14, 2026. Dates may vary based on department needs and academic schedules. Schedules will be coordinated directly with each intern's supervisor.Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. The priority deadline is March 20, 2026. Due to the expected volume of applications, we may close the posting earlier if needed.All applicants must submit a resume. Some candidates may be asked to provide additional materials. This semester's internship is offered for academic credit only.PolicyInterns in this position will gain valuable experience in policy and community engagement by working closely with staff on a wide variety of issues. They will analyze policies and draft memos on proposed legislation and existing Georgia laws. Interns will also monitor legislative hearings and governmental meetings to take detailed notes. They may also assist with community engagement activities and training and organizing volunteers. This position requires in-person work, though there is some flexibility for remote tasks. Applicants should have strong research and writing skills, a high attention to detail, and an interest in civil liberties.
