DescriptionJob Summary:The Assessments Department plays a critical role in the development, administration, and continuous improvement of all assessments offered through NBCC and its affiliates. Operating within the Credentialing and Quality Assurance Division, the department oversees both accredited and non-accredited credentialing programs, including job analysis-driven examinations and standards-based assessments. The Assessments Outreach Coordinator is responsible for recruitment and management of subject matter experts (SMEs) and item/narrative writers who will be developing and reviewing the content of all the high stakes and other examinations developed and maintained by NBCC. The Assessments Outreach Coordinator also schedules and organizes examination committee members and ensures a large pool of available SMEs for examination activities. This position is also responsible for developing and managing external communications related to departmental products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Leads in the recruitment and coordination of subject matter experts (SMEs) and item/narrative writers for all examination committees.Contributes to the flow of multiple examination development activities simultaneously.Assists with item/narrative writing activities and examination meetings.Supports the development of written policies and procedures for SME and item/narrative writer recruitment, training, and contract review.Co-facilitates item/narrative writer trainings, monitors progress, and prepares training and follow-up materials.Maintains appropriate and accurate records of all SME records and meeting activities.Prepares documents and materials for examination committee meetings, attends all examination committee meetings, and supports the content development process with SMEs.Coordinates the convening of committee meetings and other non-scheduled meetings and teleconferences.Maintains security of confidential test content, review information, and item writer contracts.Maintains a digital scholarship library. Manages users and permissions for the scholarship library, including updating resources, and providing recommendations for technological advancements and best practices in the digital scholarship industry.Develops and distributes clear and engaging written communications for external stakeholders, including flyers, newsletter content, and social media posts; collaborates with the Communications Department to ensure all messaging about departmental products is accurate, consistent, and timely.Coordinates with the Accounting Department and the administrative team on payments to item writers, SMEs, and focus groups.Manages the communication and processes involved in contract development and completion for all examinations with the Legal Department of NBCC.Manages and reviews contracts and agreements for all item writers and works with the NBCC Accounting Department to ensure timely and appropriate payments to item writers according to contract terms.Effectively collaborates within the department and with multiple departments, as required (including IT, communications, marketing, project management, facilities, and travel) to maintain a steady flow of the department projects. Develops and strengthens communication and relationships with professional counseling organizations and academic programs across the country.Attend examination committee meetings held approximately monthly each year.Attend committee meetings approximately 12-16 weekends required per year.Other duties as assigned.
