Machine Operator - Peeler

Position Title: Peeler Operator Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Grade: 4C Requisition ID: 41393 Location: Wisconsin Rapids, WI (Fry Facility) Shift: Nights 6pm-6am (2-2-3) About the role McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Peeling Machine Operator at the Plover, WI plant. This role cleans and operates raw product sizing, peeling, and scrubbing equipment to ensure a consistent supply of correctly sized and peeled potatoes to the trim belts. The position supports raw product flow, quality checks, and equipment performance in accordance with company standards. What you'll be doing * Operate and adjust sizing equipment, peelers, scrubbers, and raw product holding bins for optimal performance. * Collect samples, conduct tests, and record results to support quality processes. * Perform routine equipment diagnostics, make standard adjustments, and notify maintenance of issues. * Clean the peeler room and associated equipment while maintaining safe and orderly work areas. * Coordinate work with cleanup personnel, Dock Attendants, Raw Product Leads, and Maintenance. What you'll need to be successful * Strong initiative, independence, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Ability to read, write and communicate with various departments (English proficiency required). * Ability to follow safety policies and participate in quality systems. * Considerable mental and manual skill for operating and adjusting equipment. * Capacity for periodic substantial physical and mental effort. Physical Demands * Regular standing, bending, twisting, and manual handling of equipment tasks. * Manual dexterity for equipment operation, adjustments and testing. * Sustained attention in a fast‑paced production environment. * Periodic physically demanding activities including regular lifting up to 50lb. * Ability to maintain productivity during repetitive or endurance‑based tasks.
