Retail Cafe Specialist (part-time)

Position Summary This role is based at our Central Houston location at 2660 Fountain View Dr, Houston, TX 77057, conveniently located near the Galleria.The Café Specialist will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages, while maintaining a clean and safe environment for our Guest and Team Members. Must be 21 years of age or older for this role.Position DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Greet guests in a friendly manner and taking food and drink ordersHandle basic food preparation including washing, cutting, and assembling pre-packaged food itemsEnsure proper food storage and rotation of perishable foodDescribe menu items and suggest products to guestsServe alcohol, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages to guest specificationsOperate cash register and credit card machineFollow all food health and safety guidelines and requirementsFollow procedure to prevent food spoilage and wasteStock areas, order supplies, and maintain inventoryMaintain food preparation tools, including cleaning and disinfecting instruments and equipment before and after useMaintain the cleanliness of all surfaces involved in the food handling process, such as counters, and microwave ovensClean up any spills and leaks that may occurCleaning service and seating areasQualificationsEducation/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-2 years experience in a fast paced, high traffic, guest facing, interactive retail environment or related customer service field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proficient experience in Microsoft Office programs. Certificates and Licenses: Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Beverage Certification as designated by state and local agencies.Position Hiring RangeThe hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time. Compensation: $13.25 - $17.23Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy.
