Material Coordinator

Chipton-Ross is seeking 5 Material Coordinators for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):• 4+ years of experience with warehouse inventory including parts accuracy and accountability.• Requires Computer experience and competency• Currently have or have the ability to obtain a forklift license.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • Routes materials to prescribed storage location in accordance with prescribed storage procedures.• Conducts inventory of stored materials and reports deterioration/ damage.• Removes and issues material from storage and prepares it for shipment.• Able to perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment.• Able to perform assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions.• May order parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required to perform assigned duties.• Responsible for complying with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD, contracts, facilities, housekeeping, inventory control and other pertinent coverage.• Reviews and analyzes production scheduling requirements to determine products, materials, and actions necessary to ensure the availability of sufficient materials and hardware to meet schedules.• Identifies, investigates, analyzes and determines best solutions and coordinates the resolution of problems to ensure adherence to quality standards, schedules and budgets for material costs.• At times may perform in-depth analysis of complex problems related to material requirement, inventories, schedules and configuration control.• Performs other duties as directed by supervision and management for the benefit of the company, program, and employee(s).• Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.• Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms• Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required.• Pass visual acuity and color perception tests• Read, write, and comprehend the English language• Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material• Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities• Occasional (1 to 3 hrs) finger manipulation• On occasion, a 2-person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs• Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs)• Frequent walking on flat surfaces• Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces• Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces• Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands• Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/stoop, lying down, and operate foot controls for an extended period of time• Occasional contact with metals• Frequent exposure to noiseREQUIRED EDUCATION:Minimum level of education required is a High School Diploma or accredited GED. WORK HOURS: FULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT; Candidates must be available and able to work various shifts during the duration of the assignment.
