2nd Shift Manual Machinist

Thompson First Group is seeking Manual Machinist for temporary to hire opportunities for a local client in Aston, PA.The right candidate will have at least one year of experience as a machinist, be able to interpret blueprints and use tools and measuring instruments, and be able to accurately enter data into a data collection system.ResponsibilitiesHelp ensure company goals and deadlines are being met.Set-up and operate milling centers to machine parts to meet customer specifications.Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.Use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments.Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.Measures, marks, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.Ensures quality is in accordance with company standardsResponsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on MO's (Manufacturing Orders).Ensure parts and tools are loaded correctly and that quality is consistently maintained throughout the assignment.Change and adjust cutters as required to ensure quality and tolerance requirements have been met.Ensure machinery and tools are adequately maintained and serviced.Perform other duties as assigned.Thompson First Group is an equal opportunity employer.
