Soni is working with a growing client to hire a hands-on Controller who will oversee all accounting operations, implement scalable financial processes, and ensure compliance with reporting standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys improving systems, managing teams, and driving results.Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations Own financial reporting and ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Work closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Manage audits, tax filings, and coordinate with external accountants or consultants as needed Oversee and mentor accounting staff, promoting best practices and efficiency Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, including automation and new software toolsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards Proven ability to lead a close process and manage multiple priorities Experience in [insert relevant industry if applicable: e.g., professional services, SaaS, real estate, etc.] Proficient in accounting software and Excel; experience with ERP systems a plus Detail-oriented, analytical, and confident working directly with executive leadershipCompensation: $140,000 - $160,000Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
