Position DetailsPosition Information Position Title Worker, Intramural Sports - $8.00/hour Position Type Student Number of Open Positions multiple Department Office of Student Engagement (2532) Campus Main Campus (Grantham) Supervisor Curtis Kurtz Work Period Acad Yr 2025-26 Hours Per Week 20 Duration of Appointment Fall, Spring Work Schedule Mostly eveningsPosition Description Position Summary This position supervises and facilitates all Intramural Sports activities and makes sure everything runs smoothly.Major PreferredExperience Required Has some background in sportsExperience PreferredSkills, Characteristics Required for Position• Ability to work with people• Able to confront and approach their peers• Accepts responsibility• Must be able to work independent of supervision• Responsible and dependable• Strong communication skillsDress Code Requirements Staff T-Shirt, sneakersSpecial Working Conditions Depending on sport, job may be outdoors in different weather elementsBackground Check Required No Primary Duties 1.Responsible for representing Intramural Sports Department at games, contests and events2.The supervisor will arrive at the site of competition 20 minutes prior to the start to assure sure that the equipment for each game is issued to one of the game officials/team captain and that the venue is ready3.Manage the event by making sure events go as planned, and that officials, captains and players follow protocol4.Report all accidents, injuries and concerns to the Coordinator of Intramural Sports or Director of Student Engagement no matter how small they are perceived to be5.Report the score/outcome of the contest to the Student Manager6.Make sure all equipment is accounted for and returned to the Equipment Coordinator7.Assist the Intramural-Sports Student Manager as requested8.Maintain consistent and reliable attendanceSecondary Duties Other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOpen Until Filled Yes Application DeadlineQuicklink for Posting
