Cadogan Tate New York Limited has an exciting position available for a Professional Mover/Driver. The essential duties of this role are to work on all aspects of residential removals, collections, deliveries and installations of personal effects, art and antiques under the management of immediate supervisor. We are looking for skilled Movers with box truck driving experience, art handling experience is a bonus.BenefitsHealth insurancePaid time offEmployee discountFuel cardEmployee assistance program401(k) matchingVision insuranceFlexible spending accountLife insuranceDental insuranceGym membershipKey ResponsibilitiesCollections and deliveries on a daily basis, locally and interstate as neededHandle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including all condition reporting for goodsWork with the Driver to ensure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based on the daily trip sheet or trip manifestEnsure all modifications to daily trip manifest are reported and verified by the Dispatch Manager prior to making any modificationsProper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furnitureAssist with installation projectsPreparation of condition checks and condition reports as neededPack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storageAssist in the loading and unloading of Cadogan Tate trucksWhen required to start your day or end your day at a location other than Cadogan Tate New York Limited, in these instances you are required to complete a manual time sheet and to have this signed by the supervisor or your manager within 24 hours of the start or end of the day.Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseHigh school diploma / GED requiredSome experience in moving and handling art and furniture; packing, and safe handlingSome experience in logistical, warehousing and moving experienceUnderstanding of inventory processes and the ability to learn how to improve on handling furniture, art and antiquities from collection through to installationSolid problem-solving skillsSolid organizational and time management skillsCommunication skillsAbility to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reportingTeam player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environmentComfortable in a results-driven workplaceProfessional demeanor at all timesExperience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary logistics equipmentAbility to safely lift 50 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cartAbility to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead
