Deck Hand

• Must be 18 years of age or older• Meet all physical requirements that are required including the ability to lift more than 25 lbs and pass a USCG Approved Drug Test• Ensure the safety and security of all passengers on vessel and dock• Follow directives from the Captain and Sr. Deckhand• Provide excellent customer service by taking care of all customers in a timely, courteous, efficient and individualized manner• Ensure that the vessel is properly set in preparation of cruise.• Certify that the vessel is always clean and that all cleanliness procedures are completed before, during and after all cruises.• Ability to complete vessel maintenance projects including but not limited to painting interior and exterior of vessel, scrubbing carpets, polishing woodwork and more• Uphold compliance with all company policies and procedures• Communicate with all levels of staff• Maintain a well-kept appearance in accordance with company standards• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidaysCandidate Qualifications:• Leadership Skills• Organization and Time Management Skills• Communications Skills - Team Player• Customer Service SkillsThe Gateway Clipper Fleet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
