Job Description

The National Association of Counties (NACo), representing America's 3,069 county governments with 40,000 elected officials, 3.6 million county employees and more than $660 billion in annual investments, seeks an IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for general end user support, including the procurement of technology equipment, as well as management of the helpdesk system, and deployment of end user equipment. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining the IT asset inventory, overseeing communications to NACo staff, and focusing on end user best practices and security.POSITION, RESPONSIBILITES and ACTIVITIES:Manage, research and provide recommendations for general technology equipment procurementHandle onboarding/offboarding of technology equipment for usersProvide End User level 1 supportMaintain the Active Directory and Microsoft InTune EnvironmentAssist the Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage the Active Directory users and computers accountsAssist the IT Team in managing Office 365 by assigning licenses, maintaining users and groups, and maintaining the shared mailboxManage the Helpdesk system and ensure tickets are handled in a timely fashionAssist the IT Team to manage and execute the phishing program strategy and provide regular reports to IT managementEnsure that NACo meeting spaces AV equipment is operationalProvide support for computer accessory devices including monitors, printers, iPads, and laptops.Provide operational support to NACo Conventions and other NACo meetings.Maintain and monitor technology policies, checklists, standard operating procedures for changesAfter hours rotation work required (i.e. implementation, updates, upgrades, emergency situations).Other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Degree in Information Systems, related field or three years equivalent working experience preferredAttention to detail and timelinessOutstanding organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationExcellent Customer ServiceBasic knowledge in Active Directory and Office 365Working Conditions:In office Travel: Minimum Travel requirementSalary Range: $55,000-$60,000 baseApplication Procedures:Interested in joining our team?
