Volunteers will spend a Saturday morning supporting the region's pollinators and healthy habitats doing one of numerous activities, including invasive plant removal, weeding, trash cleanup, mulching, and a special planting event and environmental education with the Xerces Society. The event will include a station to decorate pollinator wings, numerous organizations with information tables, music, and spring weather so come join the fun!Earth Day 2026 DetailsEvent starts at 9:30 with a brief group gathering in Scott Park.Volunteers will choose a focus area at the event:Trash clean-upWeedingMulchingInvasive Plant RemovalPlanting a Habitat Kit with the Xerces SocietyVolunteers are asked to register by April 23rd. Registration will also be available the day of the event, but advanced registration is preferred.Light refreshments will be provided. Please consider bringing a water bottle from home and using the on-site fill station to reduce waste.Wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes for uneven or muddy terrain.Gloves and tools will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.The city highly encourages attendees to walk, carpool, bicycle, or utilize the nearby MAX station to access the event.
