The Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, and age-appropriate patient care while functioning as a role model, advisor, resource, and leader for the patient care team. This position plays a vital role in sustaining a culture of patient safety, teamwork, and excellence while also ensuring compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and best practices in nursing care.Job specificationCandidate requirementsJob specification Oversee daily operations and patient care delivery within the Neuroscience Center (3 South Unit). Serve as a leader, mentor, and resource for nurses and other healthcare staff, ensuring best practices in patient care. Promote a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring all National Patient Safety Goals are met. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Support staff development and continuing education, including national certification within one year of hire. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and administrative leadership. Utilize evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes. Candidate requirements Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a CCNE-accredited School of Nursing required. Master's degree preferred. Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required). Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (Required, American Heart Association). National Certification preferred (must obtain within one year of hire). ? 5 years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in neuroscience or critical care settings. Demonstrated experience in nursing leadership, supervision, or management. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
