Expanding our team is paramount, bringing in fresh perspectives, ideas and broad-based talent to further enhance our solution offerings, driving new growth and supporting our technology roadmap - including the release of finished drug-delivery / combination devices and machined implants.We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Plastics Process Molding Tooling Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role you will be responsible for our Molding Department that focuses on producing parts that meet all Customer specifications at or below standard cost and in a clean and safe environment.Responsibilities:Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) on all new tooling programs to establish the optimum molding/manufacturing process.Create and maintain all process and/or manufacturing related documentation.Supervise Molding Technicians and Process Engineers and assist Quality personnel with any process and/or manufacturing related issues.Be a Leader of the Molding Department's Continuous Improvement Team.Participate as a member of the new program development/quoting team.Participate as a member of the APQP Project team as it relates to Molding Tooling.Participate in all ISO/QS/TS internal and external audits related to the Molding department.Promote cleanliness and safety policies and procedures throughout the entire Company.Assist in design and fabrication for new mold tooling and identify needed molding technologies (equipment/sensors) to advance capabilities.Requirements BSME or Plastics related degree required.At least 5 years' experience with plastic process development of high tolerance plastic parts.Extensive knowledge of engineering grade plastics as it relates to plastic processing.Advanced knowledge of Mold tooling requiredKnowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) as it relates to plastic processing.Scientific molding expertise: Master Molder preferredMust possess good analytical and problem-solving skillsMust have good written and verbal communication skillsMust be a driven self-starter with the ability to multi-task and set priorities with little supervisionMust be a team player with the ability to interact effectively across departmentsMust have good windows-based PC skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.)ISO/QS/TS knowledge preferredBi-Lingual (English & Spanish) a plusThis position is at our Fairfield, NJ location.Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year Other Benefits IncludeMedical, Dental and Vision 401 (k) with company matchHoliday, Vacation and Sick TimeTuition Reimbursement Health Savings Accounts (HAS)Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Cigna Wellness Incentive Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Short Term DisabilityGroup Life and Accidental InsuranceSun Life - Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Insurance Smoking Cessation Program Pet Insurance US Pay Transparency The base salary for this role will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.If your salary requirements exceed the advertised range and you remain interested in Weiss-Aug, we encourage you to apply.Weiss-Aug is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
