At BTTS, we constantly look for a high level of integrity, driven, qualified, and experienced Technician that wants to grow their careers and lead our company to be the best service provider in the industry.Job DescriptionA qualified Diesel Mechanic /Technician will be able to diagnose, provide estimates, and repairs on highly complex electrical and mechanical systems, on class eight tractors. You will routinely make best valued decisions with SAFETY as the determining factor regarding continued operation VS, repair or replace, then perform technical repairs and replacement. Uses technical publications and other internet-based manuals, technical guides, or check sheets. Some employees in this role function as local shop subject matter experts [SME] on all tractor systems. Further, the same may be a resource for Warranty, the Senior Maintenance Leadership Team, and Training Department.Maintain excellent customer service while providing quality and efficient repairs on Class 8 Tractor and Trailers. BTTS is searching for a high level of integrity, driven, qualified, and experienced Diesel Technician that wants to grow their careers and lead our company to be the best service provider in the industry.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Value our customers with a high standard of excellence in quality & efficient repairs as well as excellent customer serviceDiagnose, repair & maintain Class 8 tractors and trailers by analyzing diagnostic test results (computerized, sound, visual, feel, smell, etc.)Conduct road tests as needed for diagnosis of repairs and quality of repair completionPerform Federal DOT inspections as well as preventative maintenancePerform light and heavy-duty repairsMaintain company owned toolsMaintain company owned service trucksParticipate in company paid training & continuing education of OEM spec changesQualificationsValid state driver's license / US work authorizationDependable, organized & self-motivated(Preferred) A or B CDL, clear of violations/accidents & provide current DOT medical certificateMinimum 1yr experience as a Class 8 technician diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on Class 8 tractors & trailers(Preferred) Computerized diagnostic skillsWilling to obtain certifications (ASE & OEM)Excellent communication skillsBasic computer skills (Outlook Email, RO Software, Inventory, etc.)Must provide and maintain personal tools and storage boxesMaintenance backgroundHigh School Diploma/GEDAdditional InformationThis job is an hourly position with no guarantees for career progression.
