Enough about us, here's what we're looking for: We're currently looking for a freelance Junior Finisher to join us as a remote independent contractor. This role will work closely with both our US-based creative teams and our EU-based teams, collaborating daily on high-profile entertainment campaigns. This candidate must be based in or able to work standard business hours aligned with EU time zones (CET/WET). What Is Finishing?Finishing is more than retouching. A Finisher's main objective is to rebuild comp files accurate to real life (or whatever world the finish is intended to live in). While this often includes retouching, it also requires creating and assembling high resolution assets so that when the finish (and all of its pieces) is delivered, it can be used for any artwork needs. Responsibilities You will check all assets and final type for accuracy before final buildUnderstand and execute finishing file priorities as directed by the Director of Finishing and Sr. Finishers, in tandem with Account ManagementDevelop understanding of specific client production guides for file building and deliveryProvide accurate time estimates for assigned task completion to Director of FinishingPerform masking and revisions under supervision from Senior Finisher(s)Assist in finishing of platform assignmentsMaintain daily open communication with assigned mentorContinue to build basic finishing skills (masking, painting, combining images) with the goal of masteryDevelop basic understanding of how other company departments work (art direction, account management, production art)Develop basic understanding of organizational file structure and naming layersStore files in appropriate folders using accepted naming conventions Requirements General understanding of light, shadow, and maintaining appropriate level of realismPositive demeanor and commitment to company, clients, and teamStrong attention to detailAn openness to learning from other team members Basic knowledge of PhotoshopAbility to collaborate across time zones in a fast-paced production environmentMust be based in or able to work standard business hours aligned with EU time zones Monday-Friday (CET/WET)Fluency in English, spoken and written, is required for real-time collaboration, feedback, and training.
