Position Summary The Risk Management Manager plays a key leadership role supporting the Director of Risk Management in overseeing the hospital's Patient Safety and Risk Management Program. The role ensures compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and The Joint Commission requirements while fostering a safe and quality-driven healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, developing, and implementing hospital-wide risk management and patient safety initiatives. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS/DHS, and hospital policies and procedures. Conduct investigations of incidents and patient safety events, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to reduce risk exposure and improve quality outcomes. Support staff education and training related to risk prevention and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field (required). 1-3 years of experience in Risk Management or clinical setting (required). Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) (preferred). Demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications. Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policy compliance. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate: Possesses a deep understanding of Joint Commission and CMS/DHS standards. Exhibits strong leadership and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration among clinical teams and medical staff.
