Are you looking for a summer job?Come work for the Leawood Parks Maintenance Department!THE CITY OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS is looking for aSeasonal Parks Maintenance WorkerAre you ideal for working as a Parks Maintenance Worker at the City of Leawood?Do you have a high school diploma or equivalent?Are you 18 years of age OR older?Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills?Are you reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment?Are you ready to make some extra money for the summer?Do you have horticulture, landscaping, and planting experience?Do you have mowing experience?As a Parks Maintenance Worker, you will work:Approximately 40 hours per week from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.This position will be occupied from the end of May through August.A few of the things you will be doing include:Assist in the landscaping and maintenance of City-owned facilities and parks.You will be responsible for planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, fertilizing, and watering all plants.Assist with the maintenance and preparation of the soccer and T-ball fields, including chalking, mowing, painting, and repositioning goals.Assist in mowing, edging, string trimming, watering, and laying sod.Assist with routine inspections for insects, weeds, and diseases affecting trees, shrubs, and plantings.Are you ready to work for the City of Leawood's Parks, Recreation & Arts Department during the summer?
