DuPage Public Safety Communications, known as DU-COMM, seeks qualified applicants to join their team and play a critical role in the emergency response for the communities they serve, including the Village of Roselle. Telecommunicators (9-1-1 Dispatchers) work in a fast-paced multi-tasking position that includes answering emergency and non-emergency phone lines, entering information into a Computer-Aided-Dispatch terminal, dispatching the appropriate type of response and updating responders while they are enroute to the emergency. The Telecommunicator is trained and certified in medical and fire dispatching to provide critical life-saving assistance for the caller.About DU-COMMDU-COMM is an intergovernmental agency formed in 1975 to provide public safety communications services to Police, Fire, and EMS agencies. Today, DU-COMM serves forty-five (45) agencies in DuPage County and is one of the largest consolidated 9-1-1 centers in Illinois. DU-COMM is located at 420 N. County Farm Rd in Wheaton, IL.
