DescriptionINTERNSHIPClose Date: Open Until FilledStart Date: Mid-May 2026WATER QUALITY ANALYSIS INTERNAsset and Process Management Division$15-$20 per hour (DOE^) ABOUT THE ORGANIZATIONThe Upper Occoquan Service Authority (UOSA) is a leader in water reclamation and a high-performance wastewater treatment facility in Northern Virginia. The organization seeks an energetic college student presently studying in the fields of Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, and/or Engineering. to work as a Summer Intern within the Asset and Process Management Division. Also willing to consider Data Science majors with a minor or strong interest in Environmental Science.DUTIES INCLUDEThe intern will be responsible for performing progressively difficult tasks, working independently as well as in conjunction with highly skilled and experienced employees. The individual will be responsible for conducting process studies, analysis of existing data, conducting field tests to measure plant performance, and performing laboratory tests associated with process chemistry. The individual will work under the guidance of the Deputy Director of Asset and Process Management, to gain on-the-job training.Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required. Data visualization skills such as Power Bi desired. The intern will be expected to gather, verify, analyze, and prepare reports and dashboards. The ability to evaluate data and prepare reports and other documentation is essential.
