Key Responsibilities Serve in a client-facing Controller role within the Managed Accounting Services practice, delivering client work at a premium level Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for multiple clients simultaneously Proactively identify and solve client accounting challenges by developing a deep understanding of each client's business Lead the monthly close of client books, including assigned journal entries, accruals, balance sheet account reconciliations, and complex accounting items Assist clients with proper transaction recording for revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity, and leases to ensure GAAP compliance Maintain financial records for multiple clients and ensure accurate transaction recording Plan, assign, and review work performed by Bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and provide feedback for improvement Proactively manage project deadlines to align deliverables with client expectations and deadlines Collaborate with Managed Accounting Services and Tax teams on technical matters, project progress, tasks, and associated budgets Review client financial performance monthly and make recommendations for improvement Collaborate with team members to recommend process improvements and KPI/dashboard improvements Assist with internal budgets and internal processes Act as a hands-on, working manager who is willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned Comply with firm policies and procedures, including timesheet submission and attendance policy Day to Day Responsibilities Develop a detailed close plan for each client and ensure tasks are completed prior to formal review with the Director of Managed Accounting Services Document and perform analysis over cost accounting and other critical areas Properly record revenue and support accurate financial reporting Review other team members' work for quality and accuracy Assist in implementation of new tools and software Support relationship building and business development activities (approximately 15% of time) Preferred Experience and Attributes CPA license required Previous work experience as a Controller or similar role In-depth working knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP Ability to learn and work in multiple accounting systems Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Motivated and quick learner with strong communication skills and demonstrated professionalism Ability to work independently and as part of a team to see projects through to completion Eligibility to work in the U.S.
