JOIN MADTREE'S NEWEST LOCATION AS GENERAL MANAGERPosition Summary:At MadTree, General Managers don't just run restaurants - they build communities. As the founding General Manager of MadTree's newest location opening July 2026, you'll own the full P&L for an upscale, nature-immersive dining destination - a concept that marries approachable elegance with MadTree's signature warmth. You'll lead a team of 40+ across FOH, BOH, and Private Events, setting the cultural foundation and operational standard for a venue designed to become a destination from day one.This is a high-volume operation with serious financial expectations and an equally serious commitment to the guest experience. You'll be both the strategic architect and the hands-on operator - analyzing performance data in the morning and working the floor in the evening. Every decision you make, every team member you develop, and every guest interaction you model will shape not just this location's success, but MadTree's next chapter.You'll translate company-wide strategy into location-specific execution, foster cross-functional collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house, and bring our Connect, Grow, Give a F*ck behaviors to life in an environment that's as intentionally designed as it is warmly run. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.5+ years of professional hospitality management experience requiredExperience opening new locations, leading cross-functional teams of 30+ people, and managing sale volumes of $3M+ annually strongly preferred.ServSafe PIC/Manager certified.Proficiency with restaurant management platforms including R365, Toast, Google Suite, etc required.IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to work nights and weekends as needed; typically, 50-55 hours per week.Positive attitude and strong desire to be helpful with a friendly, service-orientated mindset to be in the service of guests and staff at all times.Effective and frequent communication with management and support staff, regardless of department, location, or shift.Strong skills in time management and organization with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.Comfort with working independently, multitasking, and maintaining efficiency and productivity.Advanced knowledge of financial and general math concepts and proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, talk, hear, and smell.Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently reach with hands and arms to handle objects, tools, or controls.Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.The work environment is usually that of a bar, restaurant, and brewery.The employee occasionally works with hazardous materials.The employee occasionally works on wet floors and with wet equipment.The pay range for this role is:69,700 - 97,700 USD per year (Cincinnati, OH)
