Objective of the Position: Develop welding techniques, procedures, and application of welding equipment to address problems involving fabrication with metals. Develop weld schedule programming and continuous improvement at the plant level. Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, thatApproval or rejection of weld quality.Development and usage of robotic programming techniques.Development and usage of welding parameters.Educate EETAM personnel in visual weld inspection, weld quality, weld processes and techniques.Robotic weld schedule programming and continuous improvement.Robotic weld fixture improvements.Training of Repair Welder personnel.Tracking production-related welding assembly issues, including meetings and data gathering.Support new product launch.Support old product relocation to other EETAM plants.Design and fabricate fixtures and tools to aid in manufacturability.Provide technical support to EETAM development and manufacturing. Support Design and Manufacturing Engineer in completing customer documentation requirements pertaining to welding technologies and product feasibility Support Production and Quality Manager in maintaining current mass production.Develop relationships with welding equipment suppliers.Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, thatConduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.Other duties as assigned.Requirement Profile:Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering Technology. Minimum six years' experience working for a manufacturing supplier preferably automotive as a Weld Engineer.To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office & SAP. Expert in welding & metal forming techniques and processes.Technical Expertise:Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and proceduresKnowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.Strives to continuously improve expertise.
