SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, and anticipating and delivering guests' needs. The Food and Beverage Manager provides the leadership expertise that ensures the effective and efficient operation of all Food and Beverage Outlets. This role will ensure excellent guest experience through attentive floor leadership and elevates the beverage program through thoughtful creation, consistency and operational excellence. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Provide leadership and direction for all food and beverage operations, ensuring alignment with PUBLIC's brand standards and service philosophy * Oversee daily operations of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, lounges, banquets, and special events. * Ensure all operations are functioning to financial parameters set by Senior Leadership through budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, inventory management, and revenue optimization. * Lead, coach, and develop F&B management teams and hourly associates to build a strong, engaged, and accountable workforce. * Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and promptly resolving guest concerns. * Partner with Culinary leadership to ensure menu innovation, quality execution, and consistency across all outlets. * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, labor, and liquor regulations. * Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Events, Finance, and Human Resources to support hotel-wide objectives. * Assist in hiring, onboarding, performance management, scheduling, and succession planning for the F&B department. * Support the planning and execution of special events, activations, and brand-driven experiences. * Maintain a visible presence on the floor to engage with guests and teams, setting the tone for service excellence. * Lead beverage creation, recipe development, testing and seasonal updates across categories including loose leaf teas, espresso, specialty coffee, juices, tonics, matcha and smoothies. * Conduct regular tastings and staff training to ensure team proficiency and knowledge of each drink. * Ensure that all team members receive consistent and proper communication, all while modeling brand standards and utmost hospitality. * Compile daily revenue logs and reports for accounting needs. * Assure that the budgeting process is performed accurately and efficiently. * Implement effective control of beverage and labor costs. * Responsible for monthly and annual inventory. * Manage conflict resolution and ensure every interaction with our guests is aligned with our steps of service and any issues are resolved just-in-time. * Monitor performance and development of team members, including review of disciplinary actions, terminations, as well as the performance review process. * Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectful workplace practices. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable. * Deep understanding of luxury or lifestyle hotel food and beverage operations. * Proven financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. * Exceptional guest service mindset with the ability to resolve issues professionally and decisively. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic environment. * Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office. * Knowledge of local, state, and federal labor and health regulations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. * Ability to move throughout all food and beverage venues, including kitchens, bars, dining rooms, and event spaces. * Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. * Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* * Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage management within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment. * Prior experience managing multiple outlets and large teams preferred. * Prior experience with Craftable and Toast is strongly preferred. * Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
