THIS POSITION IS PART TIME FOR FRIDAYS/SATURDAYS ONLY. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. BASIC FUNCTIONThis position will be supervise, train and inspect the performance of assigned Housekeeping staff ensuring that all procedures are completed to the established standards. This person will assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience)Prior experience requiredExcellent customer service skillsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupervise staff in the performance of all daily procedures to ensure they are performed to standardsMaintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standardsPrepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities • Inspect guest rooms, guest corridors, elevator foyer area, vending area, service area including linen closet, staff restroom and storage areaInspect public areas/bathrooms, restaurants, offices and service areas after being cleaned by respective personnel, using designated checklistsAssist staff with their job functions where needed to ensure optimum cleanliness and service standards for guests QualificationsKnowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, requirements and use of equipmentFluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Provide legible communicationComputer mathematical calculationsAbility to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel dataAbility to ascertain departmental training needs and provide such trainingAbility to direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when neededAbility to input and access information in the property management system/computersHOTEL SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSRespond to any reasonable task as assigned by manager.Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).Familiarity with parking validation procedures.Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.ENVIRONMENT and POSITION ANALYSISMove, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion. Regularly required to climb stairs.
