Fire Sprinkler DesignerPosition OverviewWe're a medium-sized, full service fire protection contractor with a reputation of having excellent customer service and deliverying quality projects to all of our clients. We currently have a team of 3-4 designers and continue to grow, so we're seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. This designer will work in an AutoSPRINK/HydraCAD environment and focus on large and consistent commercial projects. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign fire sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.Utilize AutoSPRINK or HydraCAD software for detailed system designs.Conduct hydraulic calculations and design assessments for various types of projects, including commercial and industrial.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems into building designs.Perform site visits as neededPrepare and present design proposals and documentation for client approval.Stay updated on the latest fire protection technologies and industry best practices.QualificationsAssociate's degree in a related field, or an equal amount of experienceActive NICET Certification is a PLUS3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design for commercial projectsProficiency with AutoSPRINK/HydraCAD, and AutoCADStrong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.Familiarity with BIM technologies and tools such as Navisworks.Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for hydraulic calculations.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.BenefitsAnnual bonus opportunitiesHealthcare insuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401K plan with matchPaid VacationPositive working environmentCareer growth and developmentAdditional Fire Protection roles are available in over 30 states for Designers, Project Managers, Foremen, Superintendents, Technicians, Inspectors, Estimators, Service Sales, Contract Sales, Service Managers, Design Managers and Executive Leaders.
