Job Description

Duties May Include:Serve as project manager for the team by acting as the intermediate between contractor management and federal Contracting Officer's RepresentativeUse various cartographic and spatial functions to create maps and applications that meet stakeholder needs and agency requirementsDevelop geospatial dashboards and applications to support leadership initiatives and Office of Trust Services Division Chief missionsDevelop scripts as needed to support geospatial workflows and applications, assist with the parcel fabric process and workflow implementationEnsure all new digital spatial data has appropriate FGDC-compliant metadata produced for each dataset and conforms to BIA data standards for integration with existing datasetsHelp manage the Internal and External Portal as well as the Open Data Page, ensuring correct procedures are followed when placing applications on both portalsEnsure Open Data Page is user-friendly, well-organized, and accessible to tribal governments and stakeholdersEstablish templates for mapping products and applications to ensure the best data consistency possible across all Division outputsDocument all procedures that do not already have Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data consistency and knowledge transferRequirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Cartography, Environmental Science, or related fieldMinimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in GIS analysis, application development, and project managementAdvanced proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and Portal for ArcGISExperience developing geospatial dashboards and web applications using ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, or Web AppBuilderStrong cartographic skills and understanding of map design principles and spatial data visualizationProficiency in Python scripting for GIS automation and workflow developmentKnowledge of FGDC metadata standards and experience creating compliant metadataExperience with portal administration and open data platform managementProject management skills including task coordination, timeline management, and stakeholder communicationAbility to pass background check with no DWI convictions within last 10 years and no crimes against childrenU.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent ResidencyDesired Qualifications:Master's degree in GIS, Geography, or related fieldGISP (GIS Professional) certificationProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalentESRI Technical Certification (Desktop, Enterprise, or Web Development)Experience with ArcGIS Online administration and configurationKnowledge of parcel fabric workflows and cadastral data managementFamiliarity with federal government GIS standards and tribal land managementExperience working with federal agencies, particularly Bureau of Indian Affairs or Department of InteriorKnowledge of natural resource management, forest management, or environmental analysis applicationsExperience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS for web application customizationUnderstanding of data governance, quality assurance/quality control proceduresTechnical writing skills and experience documenting procedures and creating SOPsExperience presenting to leadership and developing executive-level briefing materialsBenefitsAt Trinity Global Consulting (TGC), we value our employees and provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage - Coverage for eligible employees and family through CareFirst and VSP.
