Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred) | Open to Major Markets | Travel: Approximately 70%The Budd Group is seeking an experienced engineering leader to serve as Assistant Vice President of Facilities Planning & Program Management within our Private Education division.This is a senior-level leadership role focused on integrated facilities management (IFM), capital planning, sustainability strategy, and program development across private education campuses nationwide.This position will play a critical role in scaling a growing division and driving operational and revenue growth.Assistant Vice President Key ResponsibilitiesLead facilities strategy across multiple private education campusesDevelop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs)Drive sustainability and energy management initiativesOversee capital planning and long-term facilities programsSupport integrated facilities management (IFM) growthAdvise executive leadership and present to board-level stakeholdersManage and develop multifunctional teamsTravel to sites to assess operations, implement programs, and support clientsAssistant Vice President Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering disciplineActive Professional Engineer (PE) license (Required)5 + years of experience in facilities management, engineering leadership, capital planning, or program managementDemonstrated experience in sustainability, energy management, or ESG initiativesExperience leading teams and managing complex facilities operationsAbility to travel approximately 70%Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering or SustainabilityExperience in private education, higher education, K-12, or institutional facilitiesBackground in integrated facilities management (IFM) environmentsExperience supporting business growth or client expansion initiativesIdeal Candidate ProfileStrategic and growth-oriented mindsetStrong leadership presence in both executive and field environmentsSelf-directed and comfortable building programs from the ground upAbility to operate in a fast-paced, expanding divisionThis is an opportunity to join a high-growth division and play a key leadership role in shaping facilities strategy, sustainability initiatives, and long-term operational success.Qualified candidates with active Professional Engineer (PE) certification are encouraged to apply.Why Work For The Budd Group?!?
