Marketing Communications Specialist II Location: Austin, TX 78704 (100% Onsite) Pay Rate: $35 Duration: April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 Schedule: 40 hours per week Travel: Up to 15% Interview Process: One short call with the hiring manager followed by a small group interview Overview The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a critical role in supporting integrated marketing and communications initiatives that advance business objectives and strengthen the corporate brand. This role partners closely with leadership, internal stakeholders, and the broader Marketing & Communications team to deliver clear, compelling messaging across multiple communication channels. This position focuses on internal communications, executive communications, and speechwriting, while also supporting broader marketing campaigns, content development, social media, and program measurement. Success in this role requires strong writing and editing skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex business priorities into effective communications that drive engagement and alignment. Key Responsibilities Strategic Messaging & Campaign Support Partner with Marketing & Communications leadership and cross-functional teams to develop messaging that supports integrated marketing campaigns, product awareness, and corporate initiatives. Ensure messaging aligns with overall brand strategy, campaign objectives, and business goals. Support execution of strategic MarCom programs that increase brand visibility and strengthen corporate reputation. Internal & Executive Communications Develop internal communications that inform and engage employees around company initiatives and culture. Support executive communications including leadership announcements, presentations, executive emails, and talking points. Draft and refine speeches and remarks for internal and external audiences. Serve as an editor for formal business communications to ensure quality, consistency, and tone. Content Development & Writing Write and edit a variety of marketing and corporate communications materials including: Internal announcements and communication campaigns Executive communications and speeches Press releases and media materials Blog posts, articles, and thought leadership content Social media posts Conference and event communications Additionally: Develop and update marketing collateral for web, print, presentations, and other media channels. Project & Stakeholder Support Manage multiple communications projects while balancing timelines and stakeholder priorities. Collaborate with external agencies and vendors when needed. Provide project coordination and administrative support to the Marketing & Communications team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in marketing communications, corporate communications, or a related role. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong corporate writing experience. Experience supporting executive communications and leadership messaging. Strong editing skills with excellent attention to detail, tone, and voice. Experience managing or supporting social media platforms such as LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, and YouTube. Strong organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements Strong writing proficiency and ability to adapt tone for multiple audiences. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to translate complex business objectives into clear and effective messaging. Awareness of global news, industry trends, and communications best practices.
