Pay Rate Range: $ 60.71- 62.50/hr. GBaMS ReqID: 10565069 Role Descriptions: 1. QA Strategy Planning: Define test strategy| scope| and approach for mainframe rehost transformation. Identify testing needs across mainframe| rehosted applications| interfaces| batch jobs| and downstream systems. Create QA plans covering functional| regression| data validation| batch verification| and performance testing. Estimate resource needs| timelines| and testing effort. 2. Rehost Migration - Specific Testing Validate correct functioning of rehosted workloads on target platform (Linux Cloud).Coordinate with migration teams to ensure JCL conversion validation/Scheduler migration testing (e.g.| CA 7| Control M| AutoSys)Batch job execution performanceCOBOL PLI Assembler output parityVSAMDB2 data migration validation Perform parallel run testing to compare mainframe vs. rehost results. Validate system behavior after re-platforming or re-engineering. 3. Data Migration QA Create data validation strategy for file based and database migrations. Validate Data completeness/Data accuracy/Data type format transformations/Referential integrity Lead efforts to compare outputs from source mainframe DB2VSAM to target databases (RDBMSCloud Datastores). 4. Test Execution Leadership Lead and mentor the QA team across multiple testing phases. Ensure clear defect triage| prioritization| and closure. Oversee test case design| execution| and reporting. Coordinate with development| migration| and platform teams to resolve defects. 5. Tools AutomationJCL simulators| file compare tools| data validation toolsAutomation frameworks (Selenium| Python| Shell scripting)Performance test data tools (LoadRunner| JMeter| etc.)Enhance test efficiency using scripts or automated validation for batch output comparison. Essential Skills: 10-15 years of QA experience| with mainframe background. Hands-on understanding of COBOL| JCL| VSAM| DB2| CICS| and mainframe processing. Strong experience in rehost modernization projects (e.g.| Micro Focus| AWS Mainframe Modernization| Azure| GCP). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience working in Agile Scrum environments. Excellent leadership and communication skills Soft Skills: Strong communication| stakeholder management| and leadership.
