MerchandiserThe Merchandiser is a non-exempt position responsible for working with the sales department to execute merchandising standards. A merchandiser provides support to the assigned route, sales representative, and supervisor to increase visibility and drive sales for Adams Beverages. The Merchandiser reports to the Sales Manager or an Area Sales Manager.Primary ObjectivesSales FunctionsMerchandisingPack out off-premise accountsCommunicate with store managers, grocery managers/receiversManage shelf space and coolersMaintain, organize, and clean backstock areasRotate product using product freshness codesBe aware of shelf tags and price signsFollow plan-o-gramsReport out of stock productsBuild, resupply, and merchandise with relevant POS and pricingInstall Point of Connection Materials (POCM) including neon signs, banners, price signs, and inflatable itemsUnderstand POCM standards and executionDeliver and install promotional items that draw attention to our productAssist sales representatives and supervisorsRepackage breakage productUse tools including manual pallet jack, U-boat/float, and hand truck Maintain knowledge of portfolio, brand, pricing, segment/chains, and KAM initiatives/programsReview weekly ad sales sheetsAdministrative FunctionsCommunication and customer servicePhone, email, text message, face-to-face communicationFrequent communication with direct manager, sales team, and account managersContinued completion of ABU coursesUnderstanding of TechnologyEncompass MobileMicrosoft OutlookOperations FunctionsGeneral knowledge of vehicle & supermarket safetyFollow safety policies and proceduresProper use of a company vehicle including cleanliness, appearance, and service intervalsThe Merchandiser assumes other responsibilities as assigned by Managers, VPs, General Manager, and ownership.
