If this is you, we urge you to keep reading! We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Laboratory Engineer Intern to join our Sera Clinical Laboratory (SCL) team. In this role, you will support activities related to the operation, maintenance, and performance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. You will work closely with the Infrastructure, Controls, and Engineering (ICE) team to ensure that all laboratory systems operate at peak performance while supporting high‑quality testing and reliable results. Location Salt Lake City, Utah United States Hours Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4 PM Mountain Time No more than 25 hours per week Non-Exempt, Temporary, 90 days (3 months) Responsibilities * Perform and document routine instrument maintenances (30%) * Weekly Maintenances * Monthly Maintenances * Quarterly Maintenances * Mass Spectrometry Operation (20%) * LCMS start-up and worklist import * LCMS Reagent preparation * Process Improvement Project(s) (20%) * Method Development (20%) * Respond to Instrument Service Request Ticket (10%) Required Qualifications: * Recent graduate of, or currently enrolled in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology program in an accredited institution. * Dexterous and able to use tools. * Proficient in the use of computers and basic software packages (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel). * Ability to read, understand and adhere to standard operating procedures. Preferred Experience * One (1) year of pertinent clinical laboratory experience in high complexity testing. * Experience with (LC-MS instrumentation) Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry. * Experience with and understanding of (CAP) College of American Pathologists clinical testing regulations. * Experience in immunology, antibody capture, and (ELISA) Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay technologies. Pay & Job Type * $23.00-$25.00 per hour. * No more than 25 hours per week. * Temporary, 90 days (3 months) Non-Exempt
