Job Description

Vedder's Chicago office is seeking an Events Coordinator. The Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting and executing various firm events such as seminars, conferences, webinars and other special events under the direction of the Practice Development Managers.As the Events Coordinator, your job duties will include but not be limited to:Support all event logistics as directed by Practice Development ManagersConceptualize and manage the staging of events from planning and development through execution and post-event follow-upResearch and prepare recommendations for events as they relate to the goals and objectives of events and clientsCreate electronic invitation content and pull RSVP reportsCreate event budgets and cost comparisons for upcoming eventsGather and compile all event materials, including electronic distribution and printingCreate and upload all materials on the webinar platformCoordinate delivery of all items needed for eventsCreate event webpages for public eventsWork within the department to produce event follow-up materials, such as final attendance reports and budget summariesWork with the marketing technology team to ensure that InTapp CRM is reflective of event information and contact updatesWork with Communications team on event social media promotionsWork with Professional Development to produce and report CLE certificates for event attendeesApply for yearly HRCI certification when neededIndependently manage various department projects outside the scope of eventsSkills & Competencies:Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and handle competing demandsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to handle work well under pressure with a professional and positive attitude and meet strict deadlinesSelf-starter who can work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to manage numerous outside vendors with confident communication both on and off siteQualifications & Required Experience:A minimum of four years' experience in events/marketing in a law firm or professional services organization preferredBA/BS in Marketing or other related field requiredFlexibility to work additional hours, including early mornings and evenings, as necessaryTravel when necessary for events held in other citiesComputer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as an ability to grasp new technologiesCompensation Range: $60,000/yr. to $75,000/yr.At Vedder Price, we believe in recognizing and rewarding our employees' contributions.
