About the Role:Ampere Computing is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Director of Global Tax, Trade & Treasury to manage and oversee all aspects of the company's global tax, trade, and treasury functions. Reporting to the CFO, this critical role will ensure Ampere's compliance with domestic and international tax, trade, and financial regulations, optimize our global financial and operational structures, and provide strategic advice to support the company's rapid growth and complex global operations in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across various tax, trade, and treasury disciplines, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires a holistic approach to financial risk management and operational efficiency, integrating strategies across these key areas.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and a great place to work.What You'll Achieve: Global Tax Compliance & Reporting:Oversee and manage the preparation and timely filing of all global corporate income tax returns (federal, state, and international), ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws.Manage tax matters, including returns, and related compliance obligations.Ensure compliance with other indirect taxes (e.g., sales & use, property tax, VAT/GST) as applicable.Lead the quarterly and annual income tax provision process (ASC 740), including uncertain tax positions (FIN 48/ASC 740-10) and deferred tax asset/liability management.Prepare and review tax-related disclosures for financial statements.Global Trade & Customs Management:Oversee our existing trade and customs program, including maintaining a comprehensive global trade compliance program, ensuring adherence to import/export regulations, customs laws, and trade sanctions.Manage Harmonized System (HS) classification, customs valuation, country of origin determination, and other import/export requirements for all products and components.Oversee duty and tariff management, including identifying opportunities for duty minimization programs (e.g., Free Trade Agreements, duty drawback, special customs regimes).Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure efficient and compliant cross-border movement of goods.Monitor and assess the impact of global trade policy changes, tariffs, and non-tariff barriers on Ampere's supply chain and cost structure.Manage trade-related risk, including export controls compliance (in partnership with Legal).Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Agreements:Develop, implement, and maintain global transfer pricing policies and documentation in accordance with OECD guidelines and local country regulations, ensuring alignment with customs valuation principles.Ensure all intercompany agreements (e.g., IP licenses, cost-sharing, services, financing) are properly structured, documented, and compliant with tax laws and international trade considerations.Manage transfer pricing calculations and adjustments, and their impact on both income tax and customs duties.Treasury Operations:Lead global cash management, liquidity forecasting, and optimization strategies, including managing banking relationships, and intercompany settlements.Manage intercompany financing arrangements (loans, guarantees, equity infusions) in coordination with accounting and legal teams.Ensure compliance with treasury-related regulations and internal controls.Strategic Planning & Optimization:Proactively identify, evaluate, and implement integrated tax, trade, and treasury planning strategies to optimize Ampere's global financial position, mitigate risks, and support business objectives.Provide strategic advice on future arrangements, new business initiatives, product launches, supply chain design, and changes in the company's operational and legal entity structure, considering all tax, trade, and treasury implications.Analyze the tax, trade, and treasury implications of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and legal entity dissolutions, overseeing all related aspects.Risk Management & Audits:Lead and manage domestic and international tax, customs audits, inquiries, and examinations.Ensure the company maintains robust internal controls over tax, trade, and treasury processes and data.Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis:Monitor, research, and analyze new tax legislation, trade regulations (e.g., customs, export controls), and financial regulations globally, assessing their potential impact on Ampere's business and recommending proactive adjustments.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Partnership:Act as a trusted advisor to various internal teams, including Legal, Accounting, Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, ensuring tax, trade, and treasury considerations are integrated into business decisions.Build strong working relationships across the organization and with external partners (banks, customs brokers) to facilitate compliance and strategic initiatives.Consultant & Vendor Management:Manage relationships with external tax advisors, customs brokers, banks, auditors, and consultants, ensuring effective engagement and cost-efficient services.Process Improvement & Technology:Drive continuous improvement of tax, trade, and treasury processes, systems, and controls, leveraging technology (e.g., ERP systems, TMS, trade compliance software) where appropriate to enhance efficiency and accuracy.About You: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation, JD or LLM in Taxation is preferred.Certification/Licensure: CPA strongly preferred. CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) and/or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) a significant plus.Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in global corporate tax, trade, and treasury functions, ideally within a multinational technology or semiconductor company, or a public accounting/consulting firm specializing in these areas.Demonstrated expertise in U.S. GAAP (ASC 740), federal, state, and international corporate income tax.In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, customs processes (e.g., HS classification, valuation, origin, FTAs), export controls, and supply chain dynamics.Proven experience in treasury functions, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, intercompany financing, and banking relationships.Strong understanding of transfer pricing principles, documentation requirements, and intercompany transaction structuring, with an ability to reconcile with customs valuation.Proven experience with integrated tax, trade, and treasury planning initiatives, business restructuring, and legal entity management/dissolutions.Ability to research complex tax, trade, and treasury issues, interpret relevant laws and regulations, and apply them to business situations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex financial concepts to non-finance professionals and interact with all levels of management and external stakeholders.Proficiency with relevant software, including tax compliance and provision software, online banking, and trade compliance platforms.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.What We'll Offer:At Ampere we believe in taking care of our employees and providing a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, cash long-term incentive, and comprehensive benefits.
