Sr. Forward Deployed Software EngineerRemote: Must reside in Arlington, VirginiaReports to: EchoDirect reports: None. Delta's provide performance feedback on other engineers and participate in company peer mentorship program.Travel: 0-10%The RoleThe Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Sr FDE) serves as the technical lead responsible for the architecture, pipeline implementation, and overall delivery quality of Army Vantage dashboards and data workflows.You will coordinate directly with government stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver operational analytics capabilities that support force management and readiness decisions.Senior FDEs independently own complex implementation tasks from design through production, mentor junior engineers, and ensure sprint deliverables meet operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines within Army Vantage (Palantir Foundry), including automated build, test, deployment, and environment promotion workflowsBuild and iterate front-end analytical dashboards using Foundry's Workshop/Slate application layerDefine and enforce automated quality gates, validation suites, and release confidence checksConfigure observability tooling including monitoring, logging, and alerting aligned to Foundry development patternsImplement governed metric definitions and reusable business logic anchored to the Foundry OntologyParticipate in agile sprint cycles, including planning, standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesDemonstrate working capabilities to government stakeholdersAlign integration patterns, data access controls, and release procedures with platform requirementsDeliver comprehensive technical documentation, configuration baselines, and operational runbooksProvide defect resolution, troubleshooting, and incremental improvementsMentor mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidancePreferred QualificationsDeep expertise with Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, Workshop/Slate, Ontology configuration, and AIP8+ years of software engineering or systems integration experienceExperience delivering CI/CD pipelines and analytics platforms in classified or DoD environmentsExperience with Python, TypeScript, or Java within Foundry development workflowsFamiliarity with Army Vantage, GFIM, force management, or readiness data domainsAbility to own full feature lifecycle: architecture → build → test → deploymentAbout PVM & BenefitsAt PVM, we mean it when we say we value diversity.
