Injection Mold Process Technician - Warren, Ohio - JOB 26-00125 Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits A growing Warren, Ohio area Plastics Parts Manufacturer serving several major industries seeks a Plastics Injection Mold Process Technician who has experience with product start-up, process monitoring and troubleshooting products from raw materials to finished product ready for shipment. REQUIREMENTS: High School, GED, Vocational / Trade School and / or Higher Level of Education Plastics Technology Training and/or RJG Master Molding Certifications are Highly Desired Minimum (5) years of hands-on manufacturing experience in the plastic injection molding industry Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications Experience with mold setup and tear-down Ability to troubleshoot common molding defects such as short shots, flash, splay Experience with Nissei, Cincinnati, Toshiba, and Toyo injection molding machines is Preferred Working knowledge of polypropylenes, nylons, PVC, PC/ABS, POMs, etc. Perform mold start-up, troubleshooting, repair, and approval of production runs using accepted quality standards Diagnose and correct problems with the molding processes, including molds, set ups, automation Interface with the quality, materials, and scheduling personnel to ensure efficient resolution of problems and minimal machine downtime Performs line clearance in the event of process interruptions and / or adjustments Visually inspects product to the requirements as specified on the production specification documents prior to start-up submission Performs mold trials, mold changes, process optimization studies, process monitoring and verification of part conformance to specifications Experience operating a Tow Motor / Forklift and / or Overhead Crane is Highly Desired Proficient with Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer) Solid verbal and written communication and documentation skills Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
