EIT Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Piping Design

Oil and gas, pulp and paper, refineries, petrochemical etc) Piping Systems DesignPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical piping systems and components, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and manage projects from concept to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems and components for various projects.Conduct stress analysis on piping systems and other critical components.Prepare cost estimates and project schedules to ensure timely delivery.Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure compliance with ASME and NFPA standards.Utilize Bluebeam and other software tools for project documentation and design reviews.Assist in project management tasks, ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members.Review and analyze engineering specifications and make necessary adjustments.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.- EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.- Proven experience in heavy industrial consulting engineering- Strong knowledge of ASME and NFPA standards.- Familiarity with Bluebeam and project scheduling tools.- Experience in cost estimating and project management- Proficient in conducting stress analysis on piping systems.- Understand pumping, piping, air and liquid flow and distribution systems.- Hydraulic calculations to size pumps and piping, determine NPSH, etc. - Heat loss calculations for piping, tanks, and other equipment.- Simple structural beam calculations for pipe supports, etc. BenefitsBenefits include Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short- and Long-termDisability Insurance, Vacation,Holiday, and Paid Sick Time, and 401k Plan with Employer Match
