Audit Manager

Company Overview:We are a fast-growing, full-service, community minded accounting, advisory and outsourced accounting firm. We also help clients plan for their future through retirement and wealth management services. With offices based in San Francisco, San Leandro, San Mateo, and Menlo Park we are looking to add an Audit Manager to either our SF or San Leandro locations.Position Overview:As the Audit Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and documentation of various audits and other attestation engagements including reviews, compilations, uniform guidance compliance audits, and agreed-upon procedures.Key Responsibilities:Manage and lead audit engagements for various clients, including non-profit organizationsEnsure compliance with GAAP and GAAS standardsOversee billing and collections processes for audit servicesConduct internal control assessments and make recommendations for improvementsCoordinate and liaise with external auditors for annual auditsConduct accounting research and provide guidance on complex accounting issuesDevelop and implement audit plans and strategiesManage department budget and monitor expensesPrepare and review financial statementsMentor and train staff on audit techniques and best practicesQualifications:CPA certification5+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably with non-profit clientsThorough understanding of GAAP and GAASExperience with single audits and knowledge of Uniform GuidanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant softwareExperience with CCH ProSystemFx preferredIf you are a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for audit and a strong understanding of accounting principles, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
