Job Type Full-timeDescriptionMartin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a civil engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Denver, Colorado office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types. The position would offer the opportunity to work on varied types of projects, including municipal, utility healthcare, affordable housing, educational facilities, housing developments, and much more.A typical workweek can include engineering calculations, drawing development, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors early in your career, along with opportunities for marketing activities. The TeamOur civil engineering teams focus on site and infrastructure design, including leading projects such as the 16th Street Mall redesign in Denver.ResponsibilitiesUse of computer design and graphics software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Coordinate work of other disciplinesCompletes design calculations for project componentsStudies and applies building code and/or jurisdictional requirements under the supervision of the Project ManagerPerform reference researchPrepares detailsPrepares and writes reportsCalculates and checks dimensionsProvides field observation, review of shop drawings and product submittals during constructionWork overtime when necessary.RequirementsRequiredBachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculumProficiency with Civil3DHas passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination2-5 years' experienceMust be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.Ability to work in the Denver area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.DesiredRelevant Intern experience.Knowledge or proficiency with StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn.Knowledge of building and material design codesStrong time management and organizational skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independently for extended periods of timeStrong written, technical, and interpersonal skillsConstruction field experienceCan manage small projects through designGPA of 3.5 or higherWorking Conditions, Skills, and AbilitiesThis position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required: Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sitesRemain stationary for long periods of timeRepetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouseCarry, ascend, and descend a ladderIdentify colorRead, communicate, and document in EnglishDetermine and exchange accurate informationOccasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 poundsCompensationThe wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Base Salary: For individuals hired in Colorado, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $65,000 to $82,000 annually.Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin's annual base salary increase review process.Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.
