Position Title: EstimatorThe Estimator plays a crucial role in the construction process, ensuring accurate budgeting and bidding for various projects. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of commercial office and retail construction, enabling the candidate to conceptualize budgets and lump sum bids effectively. The Estimator will face challenges related to time management while working on multiple projects simultaneously. A collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor junior estimators will enhance the team dynamic. Candidates should be prepared to streamline processes and provide insights for improvement within the team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing company that values hard work and respect among its members.Estimator Responsibilities: Obtain RFPs from diverse sources Prepare lump sum and pre-construction bids Analyze documents and drawings to create detailed scope sheets Develop budgets using in-house data to assess project bid viability Engage in negotiations post-bid submission Manage multiple projects, typically three at a time Work on office and retail renovations, with plans to expand into larger projects Mentor junior estimators and assist in identifying process improvements Estimator Requirements: 2-5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction Ability to conceptualize budgets and lump sum bids Experience in commercial office and retail general contracting Comprehensive understanding of construction projects from inception to completion Experience in Northern NJ is preferred Able to provide insights on process streamlining Experience working with both union and non-union subcontractors BA degree or engineering degree is preferred Experience with corn shell construction is preferred Benefits: Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan options PTO and paid holidays Opportunities for professional development If you are an Estimator looking to take the next step in your career, apply now! #LI-BT1
