Bilingual support staff will establish and maintain a schedule that provides the most instructional support to the students with the highest needs.Position Responsibilities: Work with classroom teachers and parents to support the inclusion of Bilingual students in the instructional processDelivery of core curriculum concepts in students' first language when indicatedLiaison to facilitate communication between classroom teacher and Bilingual studentSupport growth of literacy, using students first language when appropriate, bridging English as ableSupport development of English language skillsProvide a link for school personnel with student's livesCommunicating with parents between school and home as needed.Qualifications: Has completed at least 60 credit hours at a post-secondary college, has an Associate degree or higher, or has passed the Work Keys testProficient, literate, and able to translate in English & Spanish or SwahiliAbility to interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional mannerFlexibility to work evening hours, if needed, for special events (Open House, Parents' Night, etc.)Salary: $20.00/hourSCHOOL SAFETY CLEARANCE: The successful candidate will be subject to a fingerprint and background check as a condition of employment.
