Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. This position involves handling invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment reconciliation to ensure smooth financial operations. The role is part-time, requiring availability on-site three days a week, with flexibility around Tuesday through Thursday. Responsibilities: - Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company standards. - Match purchase orders to invoices using 2- or 3-way matching techniques. - Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships. - Conduct regular check runs and reconcile payments to ensure timely and accurate processing. - Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions for auditing and reporting purposes. - Utilize the Lawson system (version 10) to manage and record financial data. - Verify the accuracy of invoice entries and ensure compliance with internal policies. - Coordinate with internal departments to address payment-related inquiries. - Prepare reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice coding and processing. - Proficiency in 2- or 3-way matching for purchase orders and invoices. - Familiarity with the Lawson system or similar financial software. - Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems efficiently. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, for vendor and internal interactions. - Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. - Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is a plus.
