Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a junior-level Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. The position involves working predominantly within a school district on projects such as renovations, additions, demolitions, and gutting of K-12 facilities across the state. The role requires 80% of time to be spent on design tasks and 20% on construction administration tasks including client phone calls, RFIs, and submittals. The engineer will prepare detailed electrical design drawings and specifications using Revit or AutoCAD, ensuring all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Responsibilities * Design and develop electrical systems for various buildings with a focus on school district projects. * Prepare detailed electrical design drawings and specifications using Revit or AutoCAD. * Conduct electrical load calculations, lighting design, and power distribution planning. * Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. * Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases. * Mentor junior engineers and guide them on best practices. * Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Contribute to the growth and direction of the electrical engineering department. Essential Skills * Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. * 0-2 years of experience on MEP related projects. * Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD as a secondary skill). * Knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical design, and building design. * Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA). Additional Skills & Qualifications * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Experience in the construction phases including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings. * Potential to step into a leadership role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
