Find your future with us. **Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)** is currently seeking an **Aircraft Painter** to join our **Component Paint team** in **North Charleston, South Carolina** on **Variable shift.** The Component Painter will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas: Masking, Sanding, Cleaning and Painting on aircraft assemblies on ground level and at heights. **Position Responsibilities:** + Performs inspection of aircraft parts arriving at the component paint facility + Cleans aircraft assemblies + Masking of aircraft assemblies + Sanding of aircraft assemblies + Priming and painting aircraft assemblies + Have the ability of viewing and understand computer- based work instructions and drawings + Maintaining all certifications that are required for the Component Paint shop + This position requires an individual to work at heights utilizing fall protection equipment. Candidate must be able to obtain Fall Protection Certification. Fall Protection Regulations - OSHA 1926, 191066, 1910 Subpart **This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)** **This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.** **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + High School Diploma/GED + Ability to work a variable shift + Preparation and painting experience + Required to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks (OSHA STD state) + Ability to complete Fall protection training **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + 1+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience + 1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting + 1+ years of aircraft paint experience **Conflict of Interest:** Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. **Drug Free Workplace:** Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. **Shift** This position is for variable shift (shift 4).
