Material Handler Location: San Diego, CA Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Contract Details: Position Type: Contract Start: As Soon As Possible Shift / Schedule: 1st shift (6:00am – 2:30pm) Pay: $19/Hr Job Summary This position is based at the GCD1 Warehouse located at 10210 Genetic Center Drive. The role offers the opportunity for extension past the initial contract duration depending on employee retention of permanent staff, with the possibility of transition to a permanent full-time employee if performance is strong. Overtime is currently available at up to 1 hour per day for all employees. While PIT equipment operation is not required to be hired, new employees will go through PIT training regardless of skill level and be expected to use the equipment. Interview Process We are asking for referrals at the moment but do not have any referrals at this time and open for temp candidates. We will want to do a 30 min interview at location. Key Responsibilities Pull, stage, verify, and compare outgoing inventory against system-generated pick lists, customer sales orders, and purchase orders; perform all related computer transactions, including product returns. Pre-stage and accurately transfer raw materials, WIP, and other production materials into, within, and out of storage areas to support production and internal customers. Perform daily cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and maintain accurate quality and inventory records. Receive all incoming materials and packages (including FedEx and UPS) in a timely and accurate manner and deliver them throughout the facility as required. Collaborate and communicate professionally with Planning, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Quality, and other departments to support smooth business operations. Lifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds. Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively, including manual and motorized pallet jacks, forklifts, and electric carts. Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage and work areas in compliance with all safety guidelines and PPE requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned.
