Position DetailsPosition Information Job Title Athletics Tutor Department Athletic Administration Terms and Hours Approx. 1 - 3 hrs/wk Job Category Student Employment Hourly Wage Portland Metro Minimum Wage ($16.30/hour) Job Summary The University of Portland Athletics Department is looking for tutors to assist with student-athletes' academic coursework for all courses. Tutors should feel confident providing writing assistance to the student-athlete. Tutors are expected to be available between 60-90 minutes per week to work with 1-3 student-athletes on study skills, notetaking skills, test preparation, and any other course or assignment-related questions. We are looking for course-specific tutors as well, so please list classes you feel comfortable tutoring. Additionally, tutors will be asked to log tutoring session notes into a database for the Athletics Department to keep track of notes from the sessions.University of Portland Athletics is committed to change and stand against racism and systemic discrimination, in our department, program, on our campus, and in our community.
