The ideal candidate will be responsible for painting and finishing props and miniature models used in film and television. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with designers and other team members.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret design specifications and color palettes.Paint and finish set props and miniature models to achieve desired effects.Mix paints and create custom colors as needed.Apply various painting techniques, including airbrushing, hand-painting, and weathering.Ensure high quality and consistency in all painted pieces.Collaborate with production and design teams to meet project specifications.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Document work through photography and maintain records of paint formulas.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the painting process.RequirementsProven experience as a set painter or prop or model painter or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.Attention to detail and a keen eye for color and texture.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Willingness to work in-office (not remotely).Preferred SkillsCreativity and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Familiarity with film, television, or theater production.At Swaybox Studios, we believe that great storytelling comes from diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences.
